systems, in many cases over a period of more than 20 years.
X-ray technology is no longer just for medical use or security
systems in airports, but with high speed systems it is now
also able to work in-line in production companies to check
food and other products for contamination and other flaws.
Up until now food has been inspected by metal detectors, but
with X-ray it is also possible to detect bone, glass, stones
and even some plastic materials.
It is also possible to use in-line X-ray systems to analyse
fat and optimize the lean ration by feedback to the filling
machine.
