Elmoprint produces a wide range of reliable hot stamp coding
machines for marking dates and other informations. Our hot stamping
machines can be mounted in packaging machines and label dispensers,
or used manually by mounting in a table stand. The hot stamping
machines are made of stainless steel and aluminium for use in
all kind of demanding environments.
The principle in hot stamping is a heated metal stamp, which presses a colourcoated film (called hot foil) against the substrate, normally a packing film, box or label, and deposits the colour coating. The colour coating contains pigment and a polymer, which quickly hardens when transferred to the cold substate. The colour is not at any time fluid, it does not come off, gives a sharp and very readable print, and do not dissolve in water or fatty substance. The metal stamp, can be designed for any use, by builting in type, clichées and numbering units.
